there is no best...depending on whatever situation you come across..any of them can be "best".

Well, obviously you're gonna have a slightly different ballflight with each iron, depending on loft.. But, in general, somewhere in between is ideal. Too high a ballflight, and you're going to lose distance. Too low and the ball isn't going to stop easily on the green.

A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.

 

I like a ball flight that looks like a cannon shot, were it goes out a distance than lands softly. Not a high shot, not low, but middle ground..
