I bought a Taylor Made Rescue Mid 19 degree because it had the IROD shaft in it for $75 to replace my Ping I3 17 degree 5 wood (4 wood) and liked it. I liked is so much I went out and bought an R7 425 Driver when they were giving away a hybrid with it, so I got a 22 degree Taylor Made Rescue Dual to replace my 3 iron. I just ordered an IROD shaft to replace the stock TM shaft in the Dual. I should have it in next week.

Hogan CFT 19* with a DG S300 in it. I just like the look of it and that is a BIG factor for me when selecting anything. I've been using it for a couple of years now and haven't considered changing it, the only thing I haven't decided is whether or not to ditch the 3 iron and grab another CFT.

I like the TM Rescue dual. I recently tried a borrowed hybrid from my friend; the Cobra Baffler DWS.

Find that the club is very easy to hit and launch.

With all due respect, the way to go is what works best for one. In my case that is a Cobra Baffler 23 degree hybrid with an Aldila NV HL-65 shaft. Without a doubt, some of my best approach shots are hit with this club. The par 3 17th hole at my club was made for this hybrid. I'm so fond of it that I'm considering buying the 26 degree version to replace my 5 iron. While I'm sure such a move will result in more than a few derisive stares from the more recidivistic members of my club, the confidence I believe I will gain from just holding this club instead of an iron will lubricate my psyche enough to allow me the vestige a smooth swing.

I must have been well lubricated when I wrote that previous post; an indulgence in a bit of purple prose, there.

    • I'll say again… you have a different definition of "temporary" and "speed" than I do. For your handicap to go up FOUR shots means you were through the soft cap and approaching the hard cap. If you did it over 15 rounds (leaving five potentially lower scores), then you played REALLY bad golf over that stretch because it's likely that only three or four of the best of those 15 rounds were actually counted, so if the three or four best scores RAISED your handicap five shots (three at 100%, 2 at 50% once you hit the soft cap), then that's some BAD golf over an extended (not temporary) period of time. And here's the thing… play 15 good rounds, or even just EIGHT, and it'll DROP again, even faster. Handicaps still drop faster than they rise, not only because of the way we calculate it (best 😎 but because of the caps. Right… it's not like you're not needing the shots. You're playing really badly, and your handicap is still lagging behind your play.
