Best 3 Wood from Tee and off tight lies????

Have yet to find the perfect 3 wood....previously tried V Steel, Steelhead 3 and currentlt using 904F Titleist...tend to hit with high trajectory so would prefer more of a penetrating trajectory....

No such thing as best but just give you my preference.

Try Callaway X Tour 13 degrees if you don't mind the small head and bore through design. Great sound and the ball explodes off the face. I am looking for a driver that can out drive my current X Tour... On average 230 to 250 meters (I am not sure in yards) even at my handicap level... Easy to get off the deck as well. I also use it when there is a lot of wind from any direction. Give it a try and you might like it.

Have you tried any of the older model Sonartecs?

For a very penetrating trajectory the SS-3.5 is great http://www.sonartec.com/?product=ss35 or if you after something with a slightly higher trajectory but still lower than most and easy to get up off the fairway then the SS-2.5 may be more suited http://www.sonartec.com/?product=ss25

Best I've tried so far is the V-steel, but if you've tried it and it didn't tickle your fancy...

My playing bud has the Cleveland. I've hit it, and it's great. Also, the Sonartec, although they're very pricey new.

How does V-Steel compared to R7 Steel? Any significant differences?
