I bought a set of these to replace by DCI 962's and I have noticed these fly alot lower. Any reason for this or am I just not used to the extra weight of the head?

I would suspect that the characteristics of the golf shaft don't fit your speed and transition timing from back to front.

Well the MP-57s are 1 degree de-lofted compared to your older set. They also have a tad less offset.

That probably shouldn't make for much of a difference in height alone however the weighting of these clubs is probably very different. Not just added weight but distribution of weight. The more weight goes tot he edges the higher the ball flight.

Yes I'm Aware That's 16 Clubs!

Shaft perhaps? What shaft was in your DCI's? Tri-spec? What is in the Mizzy's?

The 57s are considerably less of a cavity-back than your old Titleists were, so part of it could be too that you either dont have enough clubhead speed.  A bigger cavity is going to give a higher launch, so with less of a cavity you need to hit the ball a bit harder to get enough backspin to get the ball up in the air.

It could be the shafts too.  If the shafts are too stiff for your swing it would cause you to not get as much height on your shots.

    • We've had the shortest winter I can remember. Only 4-5 weeks of cold and snow, half of them with snow not even covering the ground. The norm is winter temperatures and snow from November-Deccember to April. Today we've had a month without freezing temperatures and the snow has rained away. Hoping for a record early opening of courses.
