I just joined this site today. I am currently working at Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield, Ohio. It is actually my second internship I need for college to get my degree, I am going to Kent State Salem for a Associate's Degree in Horticulture. I am 21 years old and I am really not very good at golf. I tear the course I more then anything else and it takes me 20 shots just to get the ball down the fairway. I really need alot of tips and help for my game so I do not look like Happy Gilmore out there.

Welcome aboard. Keep reading - the members here are pretty good about discussing the swing.

The best general advice I can give you is to work first on striking the ball solidly every time, and to be fairly diligent about practicing as often as your time and taste for it allows.

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Thnaks. I have a habit of trying to drive the ball into the ground like you are hammering a nail in which is why I can not hit the ball.

Welcome to The Sand Trap! I'm a little under an hour away from you. Ever played Deer Creek or Mill Creek by chance? When we played Boardman and Fitch last year we played those two courses.

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

2) Mayfair Country Club

Nope. I have actually ony played 3 rounds of golf all at Tippecanoe Country Club. I have been to Tee Up Golf Centre quite a few times to hit some balls. I really need to get up on the course as much as possible. I am what you would call a beginner.
