Top Flite XL 7000 Golf Cubs?

I'm thinking about purchasing the top flite xl 7000 clubs. I am a beginner golfer who is starting to pick up the game. Is this a good beginner set? Thanks for the input.

Should be a great beginner set.  They clones but really thats all a newbie needs.

They are not clones. Top Flite is owned by Callaway. They are just a cheap entry level set, if your not sure youll like the game or are on a real tight budget, sure go for it. But for just a little more you could get some nicer used clubs if you shopped around.

I got a set of Top Flite clubs when I started (so I could stop borrowing my neighbors clubs).  They're fine, and they are an inexpensive way to get a full set.

I used mine until I broke 90, then I bought a nicer set. (Good motivation for me!) The TopFlites are still in my garage as a spare set if a friend ever needs to borrow one.  I took them to the range the other day, and they're still good enough for my game.

The driver & putter suck, but the irons are pretty good.

It's a good set for the money.

I still use the bag, 3W, and 4h out of my old topflite box set.
