Alignment Help

Outside of my OTP swing, my alignment has always been the biggest obstacle for me somehow.  I've done just eyeballing it, I've tried aligning with club, I've looked at my target and drawn a line back to something in front of ball...and still am off.  It's becoming frustrating to have to try and make solid contact and when you do, it's left or right pin high outside of 15-30 feet.  There are times that I might be right and adjust my back foot to help me align and then setup based on where my target was and of course that is trouble.

The one thing I haven't done is go to the range and set a stick down and work it that way.  Does that eventually just feel right based on how your body/you look at your target?

My alignment fluxuates constantly. But my tendency is to aim to much to the right. Then i will work it back square then i will overdo it because i think i might be aiming to much to the right.

For me, i like to pick a target about 1-2 yards infront of the ball, imagine a line back and line up square to that. To help out alot, i tend to hit tee shots from one side of the tee box, so i can cancel ot of sight alignment issues, such as misaligned tee boxes, and i can play only part of the fairway as well.

I would pick a target no more then 6" in front of the ball and align to that.  It is the only thing that works for me.
