USGA Final Holes Dropped by NBC!

I was watching the telecast of the USGA Ameteur on NBC's Universal channel and the drama was just riveting.....36 holes match play......after 321 holes Cantlay up 1, then AS, then Down 1,etc......until 5:56 P.M. EST when they announced the telecast would be switching to the Golf Channel for the completion....they had just finished the 15th hole, with 3 to go.

At 6 PM, I switched to The Golf Channel and they was no USGA!  There was no further telecast available for the final 3 holes. ..NBC REALLY DROPPED THE BALL ON THIS ONE!

I had to wait until this morning to find out who won.

Kraft won by 2 as Cantlay could not recover after his 8 iron plunk off the tee into a pot bunker on hole #32.

Did anybody get to see the final 4 holes?

I'm not surprised they cut the coverage. What's that....like 60 hours of continuous golf?

TGC would've had to pre-empt for Ferhety.

First of all, they shouldn't have even dropped it off NBC even if they were promising it on the Golf Channel. But I guess I'm the only one who doesn't have cable or satellite.

OOOOOOOPS!

I just discovered that the broadcast on Universal HD channel was a RE-Broadcast from Sunday.......no wonder the final 4 holes was not on TGC!

I am such an idiot...

It was still riveting golf though.

I totally thought the same thing you did. But if it was a re-broadcast, how come they couldn't have edited it to finish by 6 EST? Makes no sense !

By the way......awesome new course in Wisc, Erin Hills! Site of the 2017 US Open. I will be there............watching of course
