Out of the numerous courses in Tallahassee FL, the one in a perpetual state of disrepair is Summerbrooke.  Its layout has potential to be the best track in the entire area, but some investor type bought it with intentions to flip it, a deal fell through, and it just died.  They have lost their greens at least three times in the last few years to Nematodes, which are quite preventable, but they were too cheap to treat.

The 10 dollar a round Muni course is in better shape.

Holes like this could be so good..

but it is wasted

I gave then another chance about 2 months ago, at a time when any course around here should be in awesome shape.  6/18 greens were just sand.  We ended up playing 2 putts a green because they were so awful.

      Well, I have a 2 hybrid, 4 hybrid and then play 6 iron onwards.  My best clubs are probably the 4 hybrid and the PW.  What I find is that loft is your friend in general which is why my 4 hybrid is so much better than my 2 hybrid.  Definitely disproportionately more so than the 5 or so degrees of difference in loft.  If you have hybrids, play them.  And consider loft as your friend.  Invariably you will get up to a loft where anything less will not get you more distance because of your club head speed.  Essentially the faster you swing the less lofted a club you can hit effectively.  For me it is probably a 4 hybrid and maybe a 7 iron though I could improve both with practice
