Another fake club pissing match. If he bought it and he can't return it, screw it..... Keep it and use it until the cheap ass material non milled FAKE head falls off of it. He bought it because he couldn't afford or didn't want to afford a real one. Was he duped? Maybe. Maybe not. Counterfeit clubs are bullshit, they make my real club purchases more costly. Comparing a $150 fake putter that costs $300 is a little different than a $3000 fake watch for $150. Different items and 80% of the time purchased for a different reason. Fake watch = BS Status symbol.  Fake Scotty = cheap ass.

The cost of a $300 dollar plus major brand name driver cost the manufacturer about $67 to make. The rest is marketing (paying the pro) and profit. I believe in a free market but not at the cost of the ignorant consumer. I do not feel sorry at all for the manufactures. All of the foundries are now in China with the exception of Ping still in the U.S. Middle class jobs taken overseas to be made by Chinese who get paid peanuts. If they can go to China why can't we? ............. Unique logic........I don't think so

Name brand clubs do not make anyone a better golfer. Fake, counterfeit or clone clubs don't make you a worse golfer. Want to know who the real fakes are? They are the American companies who make their clubs and components in China. Get a consistent swing and manage the course........that's the only real thing.

They can. The tools we use matter. If they're lousy they can have a negative effect.

Nope.  Wrong.... While I agree with the general idea that "it's the indian not the arrow," there is more to it than that.  It is important to have the right tools for the job and counterfeit clubs are not generally made to the same specifications as the real thing.  It is hard to play well when the lofts/lies are all jacked up because you got fake clubs or because they are made with far inferior materials.

Not really the argument here... If you want to buy cheap clubs from Chia (or anywhere else), be my guest; I really don't care.  The thing that I care about and have a problem with are counterfeits... Don't tell me that the club is a Scotty or PING or Titleist or whatever if it's not.  Call it what it is and don't try to pass it off as something else.

Integrity is truly a virture and I admire it. But the game is played by many who decieve themselves and their fellow players by putting the wrong number on a scorecard or improving their lie. Start in your own heart first and then worry about the con men selling clubs.

Fake club makers are criminals, people who record the wrong number on their scorecards are cheaters, there's a difference.  Someone who admires virtue wouldn't defend criminals who intentionally misrepresent their products as another vendors for the sole purpose of stealing honest peoples money.

What you pay for is the the security of a manufacturer standing behind their product 100%  I don't care if it costs $1 to make that club.  I would rather give my hard earned money to them than to some greasy criminals who not only steal designs and names from companies, but our money by pedaling fake garbage.

Ever heard of quality control... a counterfeit club won't be much good when the head flies off or the face caves in

Stop it dude. Bringing in a moral aspect of heart on a counterfeit club debate? Wow.

All the big boys went to China to make their clubs, hence the counterfeits. There never used to be fakes when clubs were made here. They would crack down on them in a minute. But NO they want cheap labor to make them, so I guess its the price of doing business overseas.

I've got news for ya Soon, Ping's club heads now have Chinese finger prints all over them too.

Look at fake LV purses, those have never been made in China. They still make BS fakes to sell for a profit. Stop trying to justify it bud, you are definitely in the minority. China steals other people's products, mass produces garage copies and sells them to make Money

I'm not into purses, thought we were talking clubs. No one should steal a brand name or justify it. Obviously there is a hidden market out there who are not as honest as the next guy. There is a company in Georgia now making Chop Sticks, that'll teach em.

Brought up the purse thing because of you were trying to justify their actions by saying its their fault because they were making stuff in China.
