I am considering replacing the grips on my Eye 2s.
They appear to be original and although they are not cracked or broken and still somewhat sticky when used, I think upgrading the grips would make them feel better and possibly inspire a bit more confidence while being used.
I really know nothing about grips other than Lambkin is pretty well spoken of and maybe Golf Pride to a lesser degree(?).
Also I checked at Ping but could not find shaft diameter.
I know that there are 2 sizes. One is .580 and the other .600.
Firstly what would be a good grip to put on these? Maybe Lambkin Crosslines?
My Eye 2s are my first clubs so I have no idea which way to go.
Please let me know your opinions and thanks in advance!

And to answer my own question I called Ping and the standard shaft is .600.

I have a few of the Lamkins that I got with some club packs from Golfworks, but gripped with my PURE Pro's.  I have the Lamkins on some others clubs I keep in the house to swing during commercials.  I do like the feel of them.  Much better than GP Tour Velvets.

Nice choice ... I use the Lamskin Crossline Oversize on every club - love that grip.

I assume you tried the grips out so is there a huge difference between the Standard and Full cord Lamkins? My local store only has the Standard to take a look at so I have no comparison.

I have not tried them out.

I figured based on all of the positive information I read about them and the super cheap price even if I dont like them it didnt cost me much.

I have read that the crosslines are a bit harsh on your hands. Wont know until I get them but Im sure they will be fine.

    • Day 1: 2026.01.03 Played 18 at Cape Kidnappers. Getting back into it after a few days off. Mixed results.
    • Day 40: short range session. Worked on my drill mostly. Finished with some full swings and driver swings. Range was packed because it was so nice out. Solid session though.
    • Day 5, 1/3/26.  Today was a weird day schedule-wise, but I did find 15 minutes to hit 6-iron shots (indoors, off a mat, into a net).  I also got to thinking about yesterday's round and, other than a few thin shots (that I think were weather/grip related), I didn't have any wild non-driver shots, which was weird for me.  I need to get back to video, which is tough in my setup. Also, this wouldn't count on its own, but anyone reading this and thinking about doing their own 5 minutes daily, check out Fit for Golf's latest podcast episode.  It's only a few minutes and Mike does a great job talking about the importance of doing a bit each day.  That also reminded me, I let my FFG subscription lapse, I'm going to renew it.
