Looking for a golf membership in the Raleigh area that isn't crazy expensive. I know that there is Pine Burr in Lillington that is $450 a year. Is there anything else out there that might be a little better course for close to or a little more? I really like this course but there isn't any sand and I am sure if I play there all the time I will get bored with it. It doesn't matter if it is a public course of not.

thanks,

Gregg

Keith hills is the best deal around. They have different rates but, for unlimited golf and range its 799 a year.  They have plans for as low as 299.  Also you get 27 holes

I have read a lot of great reviews about Keith Hills. I think that I am going to look more into this one. Pine Burr is a great deal, but does not have a driving range, and its pretty flat with minimal obstacles.

You get what you pay for and Pine burr isn't even in the same ball park as keith hills in terms of course and conditions.  Carolina Lakes is also another option not sure what the price is out there but, its in between keith hills and pine burr in conditions / course.

Im  sure its not any where near the same. I have been on a course once, and be came instantly addicted. Pine Burr just happened to be the course I played, and as I was walking out I noticed the sign in the club house. I am probably going to price something out at Keith Hills, and through Dec-Feb do  a little more research on more courses.

I played Keith Hills today! It is a great deal,  especially with the 27 holes. Heard they are going to be doing  extensive repairs to cart paths and possibly replace greens with heat resistant bermuda.

Chicora is also a good deal just down the road at Erwin. Course is in great shape too.

yea the old course has 2 green replaced with the championship bermuda and suppose to replace the rest of that 18.  The 9 on the other side is newer bent grass and greens are great there.  I hate they shut down 9 holes but, if they start puttin money back into improving the course I guess it will be worth it.
