i live here in Manitoba and im curious for you all, are all of your courses open or are some? Here around 5-6 courses opened today. But my course hasnt opened. How many have opened for you guys in other provinces.. or you guys in the states where you get snow?

well brother, I feel for you, I suggest you move to B.C. if you want to play more golf. Some of our courses closed this year due to heavy snow fall. But for the most part they've all been open all year. Its still chilli here but its sunny. I heard fredricton, nefoundland, and NC just had a blizzard so lets just be thankful we dont live there.

I agree, move to B.C. I wasn't able to play nearly as much this past winter because it poured rain for a good chunk (I live on Vancouver Island) but my home course was open save for a few weeks with snow on the ground. My home course, Nanaimo Golf Club, has good greens, but we had an early snow in November and they got snow mold which damaged the greens. Not something we usually have to contend with.

If you're in Manitoba, best to get the golf in early before the bugs come out

Pretty sure the only place in Canada that has year round golf is BC..you lucky dogs. Despite the cold and the bugs, (by the way, last year was pretty much bug free!!) we seem to have a season just as long as Ontario, AB and its longer than what they have in the Maritimes.

Dent, did you play this past weekend? Where do you play out of? I play out of Transcona. Everything "looks" dry and almost snow free, but I don't think we will open until the week of the 23rd, just will have to be a green fee'er for another weekend.

North, I play at Rossmere in North Kildonan. Transcona is a great course.

Also i could have played at Kildonan or Shooters on main street but they were packed.

Here in Bow Valley of Alberta, The courses open the 1st week of May, until the 1st week in October.

I drive an hour to Radium/Invermere in BC. And play starting April 1st.

Turns out I was wrong. We open on Friday the 20th, so I get to play this weekend on my home course!! Rossmere is a nice course, too bad about the greens a few years ago. We have made a ot of good changes, and they have a few more planned this year that could toughen it up a little more.
