Hi everyone,

I've have recently taken up golf with a handicap of 2 useless arms, rigid hips and a swing like a chimpanzee. I also have a stiff neck from trying to follow the ball left, right but never straight ahead. Ive spent hours looking in the distance for the landing of an impecabble drive to then find the ball only 2-3 yards from the tee..

Perhaps I should take up knitting instead.....

Despite my inability to get to grips with the noble art I booked myself a Golfing holiday in Costa Blanca Spain together with some coaching lessons.I went alone to avoid the embarrasment of being watched by my mates.

I played 3 different courses (La  Marquessa, Vistabella and Campomoar) on an all inclusive package that was absolutely brill and was aided by Golf coach Mike Probert who arranged the golf on my behalf and coached me throughout my stay.

I'm not really yet knowledgable enough to give course reviews with the exception of they ALL have lots of ROUGH which I found with ease.. I have suggested to the course owners that they put the rough in the middle and the fairways to left and right but this was to no avail..lol

I can however recommend Mike as without his coaching and patience I would probably now have hung my clubs up and be purchasing those knitting needles.

The weather throughout my Holiday was awesome if not a little bit hot but the golf was fab, the coaching unforgetable and the all inclusive was cheap as chips.

I am certainly going to go again next year so If there are any new players to the game who like myself, just couldn't get playing and want a cracking break in the sun with loads of Food, beer, great golf courses and a good giggle then let me know.

Hopefully, by next year my skills and knowledge will be a bit more polished to enable some course reviews.

I hope this post provided a giggle for you all as I'm sure you will have all been in the same position when you started playing.

Cheers

stuart
