Being that my buddy Micah from college was the main character in the first movie, I've never found the films scary. I just can't get it out of my head that my friend is the lead in a movie. Not only that but he never did acting in college. We just played music and went to bars together basically every weekend. Ahhh, I miss college

I didn't realize until today that PA3 is a prequel to the original where the characters use VHS recorders to monitor what happens in the house.

I've never been a big fan of movies (especially horror movies) going back in time as it usually means they ran out of interesting ideas to develop the story forward.  I'll probably go see it because my wife and I are a sucker for horror / thriller movies but my expectations are set fairly low.

Trust me, it's amazing. The VHS makes it scarier.. considering there's a camera that rotates around one of the rooms.

I saw it earlier this week...TERRIFYING!  I think it's pretty impressive that they've been able to make 3 really good horror movies where NOTHING happens the majority of the time.  They just play off of your anticipation...I love it!  For those that have seen it, think there will be a 4?

I guess after seeing the first two I'm getting immune to their scare tactics.  I was a bit disappointed with 3, not that is wasn't scary but it seemed short and rushed at the end when they could have really done more.  I definitely think there will be a 4th given the success and cost to make the film.  They have a few ways to go; 1) continue from 2 going forward in time.  2) Develop more of the back story from #3 (don't want to get into detail and act as spoiler) in a more traditional filming method.

I thought 3 was better than two and more and more stuff is happening each time. I agree with you on 3's ending, it could've been longer, but no complaints here. There better be a fourth one because i agree there are many routes they can take it. With that being said I think there will be a fifth one, too. No reason why not.
