I have recently taken some lessons to fix a major problem with coming over the top and hitting big slices or fades. The problem with my swing path is now pretty much sorted and I have gone from hitting the above mentioned slice to hitting a draw.

My ball contact has improved dramatically, In general Im very happy with my swing at the moment, just one problem.

I am now missing a lot of greens left. Ball is starting online and drawing left often( not always, my good shots start right and draw in perfectly) . Now from reading on here about ball flight laws, its because my clubface is too square at impact.

How do I get my clubface slightly open? Do I open it at address?

Yes aim the clubface where you want the ball to start, which for a draw will be right of your target.  Club face is a tool of projection and the ball curves away from the path.  Great to hear you read about the ball flights, you're ahead of most golfers

Thank you. Will aim the clubface a little right. When I did the odd one left during my lessons, the guy teaching me said it was because i was still coming over the top, even though it was drawing. He did manage to fix my slice for me though, so I shouldn't be too critical. Just happy that I have it sorted in my own mind now as to why this is happening.
