yea not bad =)   Shot -1 today with 2 doubles so it's starting to come together.  Hit the ball super solid except for 3 shots one on a par3 was really bad into the water and made double.  Can't complain though its getting better after being in a slump for a while now.

Been a while since I've updated this thread.  Currently haven't taken a lesson in a while but, here is one of my latest swings.  I was doing the online lesson thing while it's great I really need the hands on attention.  Sadly still looking for someone local since my last instructor got out of the business and the state.

Been struggling lately with pull draws and low point issues again.  I always seem to struggle with low point which can be very frustrating.

Great swing.  Here is a little thing I saw in your latest video, you are rising up when you get to the top of your back swing.  Not a big deal, but at your skill level, might be the thing that is causing some mishits?  Need more tilt, or something to prevent this?

I'd recommend to get the handle more forward at address, have the butt pointed to your left hip.  And increase the turning rate on the backswing, so by A3 (left arm parallel to the ground) you'll feel/see yourself with the shoulders turned close to 90 degrees

Yes or at a faster rate.  Make some rehearsal swings where you're turned 90 degrees by A3 and when you go to hit shots, "see" yourself doing it.

Nice pattern Poser.  Swing looks really good bud.  I'd love to have my club square like that at A4...

What are you working on right now?  More bank on the trail?

Thanks Beach,  Thats one thing I need to work on eventually.  I still keep coming back to the same issues I always fight.  Right now working on trying to not get the club laid off at the top like I tend to do.  On the downswing I'm trying to work on maintaining the wedge longer, follow through, and get my forward leg to straighten faster.  I sometimes sag my front leg to much and dump the club in the ground

I wish I could my arm to shift down better too.  Don't think I will ever get that one.

I think you look very good at A4 (or P4).  I'd simply focus on A5+ through impact based on what you want to improve on.

Right or Left arm?

Last week I started watching this oldie but goodie.  And it really got the quality of my ball striking up instantly.  All I did was just practice the motion Dana does in the video (0:58 to 1:02)... Over and Over and Over and Over again... Not even hitting a ball.  Just focused on increasing the 2nd accumulator - and finding a consistent low point.

Then when I was hitting balls on the range and course...  My dispersion was very tight and the ball was ripping through the air.

Maybe it will help you too?

Looks really good.  I'm going to be picky and add to what Beach is saying about the 2nd Accumulator.  From A3.8 - 4.2 the elbows separate a little.  What I mean is that the right elbows moves a touch back and up.  When the elbows separate we need to make a compensation so we don't hit it fat, so the head comes "off the wall", then the right knee over flexes, wrist angles dump.  I'd say to feel the handle lower, get to the same height as it was at address faster and have the elbows "squeezing".  Check out Dana at :46 that's a great image for you to have in your head when you practice.  I think if the elbows don't separate, handle lowers more, you'll see improvement with the lag (wedge), maintaing inclination (head on the wall) and flex of the right leg.

Here's a drill I do to work on that very piece, watch how low I'm getting the handle in the practice motions.

For some reason this is really hard for me to get.  My left shoulder wants to go up no matter how hard I try to keep it down.  Could having the right shoulder feel higher accomplish similar results?

It could or feeling the right hip stay higher.  Still gotta get the handle down sooner.  It's ok for the left shoulder to transfer forward (towards the target) a little, that might help as well.  Feeling might be like you're pulling a large nail out of a wall behind you.

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
