I currently game the RBZ hybrid, and I really like it, and my 3 wood just broke, so I was thinking of buying the RBZ fairway wood. But on the Golf Digest Hot List, the Titleist 910 series was the category leader in performance and look/feel/sound, but also the RBZ was the category leader in innovation and demand. The main thing I am worried about is definitely performance, and forgiveness.

So which one do you prefer? Why? Whats the difference in feel, playability, forgiveness, distance, spin, trajectory, ect ect? Also what do you like about the Titleist 910F vs the 910FD? Which one is better for the fairway or tee, and which one has distance? Basically, post anything you have experienced with either of these woods.

But the main idea, what are the main advantages and disadvantages of each club compared to the other?

Thanks guys!

I have the 910F in 15 and 19 degrees in my bag.  I did have the 910Fd in 15 degree for awhile but even though it was great off the tee, I personally could not hit it very well off the deck.  I found the 910F to be almost as long off the tee as the Fd and SO much more forgiving from the fairway.  I can't give you a direct comparison but I can tell you I had replaced my TM burner fairway woods with the 910's and on my home course I have found myself on in 2 on two of the par 5's for the first time.  The 910's are long, high and straight.  I'm sure they're both great clubs but I am certainly happy with my choice.  It's changed the way I play.

I would take the "demand" factor out of the equation unless you're a big fan of basing your club decisions on marketing.

I am not the greatest ball striker, in month 5 of a swing change to a centered pivot swing, but I am gaming the 910 7 wood - The Titleist does have great feel if you like a slightly metallic, hot off the ball feel. I do. The smaller club head of the Titleist also makes it more playable. Even though I have 2 R11 Titanium Fairways getting reshafted, I am toying with getting the Titleist 4 orr 5 wood - they are excellent fairways, and I've found finding a good fairway is the most difficult search for the bag ... it ranks right up there in difficulty with finding the best highest lofted wedge for the bag.

The RBZ will be a larger head, not as easily playable off turf, but it will be long and the feel is decent. The stock shaft is crap.

The stock shafts of the Titleist are the best, next to those who put the actual aftermarket shafts in their woods (not many), of the OEM's.

Of course, you can't find current Titleist clubs discounted much, if at all, even at discount sites.  So you pay ... and then you pay for the weight kit and wrench. But it's a small price to pay for consistently good results.

As to the 910 fD, you better be strong and fast off the fairway - the deep face will, from everything I've heard, make it difficult except for the most gifted, off the deck. The 910F is a fine club ... so good that those of us with slower swing speeds but make good contact -- are considering it since Titleist put a shaft in it to help us get the ball up.

good luck.

Haven't hit the Titleist so can't comment on that, but hated the RBZ. Just could not hit it, side spin was through the roof. Big slices which for me is something odd as I usually miss left not right. Might have been ok if the fitted with the correct shaft as the stock is worse than rubbish.

The XCG5 is a great fairway wood, but the CB4 is even better. That's what I went with, the numbers proved it.

Clubhead speed 108. Ball speed 157. Smash Factor 1.46 Carry 241. Total Distance 259. Side spin 234. At least that's what the launch monitor said.

The CB4 is a rocket off the tee and I find it easy to hit off the deck.

I hit the Callaway Razr X Black which was nice 3 wood as well. The CB4 just blew them all away. For me anayway.

Best bet is try as many as possible and see what fits the best for you.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
