right,

Im currently gaming a taylormade rossa ghost mallet,...and well,...i hate it

I have no feel, no feel for distance control, it feels heavy, clumbersome, weird,...im pretty sure i bought it cus it was white and pretty,..DOH!

So what im after is a blade putter,....ive got an old blade one ive been practicing with lately and my distance control/feel is great with it, my only complaint is its a really cheap thing so its heavy as hell,

ive been looking at the new cleveland cc7 and the reviews seem good, many saying its close to a scotty (which im not forking out over £200 for)

anyone had any dealings with the new cc7? or other putters of a similar ilk?

PS: I prefer the shafts that go straight to the blade, none of this offset malarky!

All of the inexpensive anser style putters from Ping and Cleveland are excellent.

They feel no different from a Cameron putter even though they don't give you the same pride of ownership that some crave.

In my opinion, the best feeling non insert putters money can buy are the Odyssey Black Tour Designs models which can be had for insanely cheap prices.

They are the equal in workmanship and quality materials to anything at any price.

You'll get a new one on ebay for under 90 pounds, which makes them a steal.

If you're after something light, then try and find an older Ping anser like this one

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ping-Anser-putter-/280869908914?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Golf_GolfClubs_JN&hash;=item416526b1b2#ht_500wt_1413

Because the bronze is so hard, they don't get bashed up and they are lighter than the newer models.

Plus you're using what Cameron and everyone else copy.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

well i tried various putters last night, including a scotty cameron (just for the hell of it)

no surprise the scotty was by far the nicest, cotnact off the face felt really really nice and it was easy to manouver the clubhead,....

the cleveland was second but not by much,

odyssey white ice teron thingy was third but lacekd feel off the face for my liking

ordered the clevelend cc7 :)

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
