Yeah, whatever. That's like those teams that claim to have won 37 Stanley Cups, 35 of which were won when there were six teams. ;-)

That's okay Erik. Being in Dreary Erie, you got your pick of the Browns, Bills or...that team south of you. Jump on whatever bandwagon fits.

You can't say stuff like that to people who have been also been fans of the Penguins and Pirates since the 80s.

And Erie may be dreary, but our lakes and rivers don't catch on fire because they're so polluted.

43-0. Welcome back to the NFL, Brownies. ;-)

Erik, I hope your putter rusts :( lol. Leave my Browns alone! As soon as Holmgren puts the hoagie down and gets back to play calling we are good!

To use one of your quotes from another thread - Clearly I can, because I just did.

Nice 1999 Browns smack & 1968 Cuyahoga River smack, btw.

I don't need to smack them for anything after that. They've done a fine enough job of it themselves.

If Brandon Weeden is some miracle in disguise, we may pull off 8 or 9 wins. Unfortunately, he still does not have any targets to throw too though - but I do think he is miles ahead of Colt McCoy.

Are there any other Browns fans out there?

cleveland still has a football team?  haha jk

i like the direction they took with shit-canning Man-gina.

i think mccoy is done.  it's tough to recover from a head injury of that caliber.  look at what happened to trent edwards after the hit and subsequent concussion he suffered a few years back; he was never the same.

as a redskins fan, i'm sorry the whole RGIII thing didn't work out for you guys. the kid looks good, just tell your front office they can't complain that they offered more than us for him but because shanny is buddies with fischer it didn't work out and then go on to say that RGIII is too short and they didn't want him anyway.

it's bad form.

Believe me, we get a bad rap from how our over-paid front office lackeys speak to the public. We as fans just enjoy football and love our team. Honestly 90% of Browns fans are just die-hard football fans and we do not like how things are being ran. I am excited for Weeden though. I think we caught a gem there but best of luck with RG3!

Mangini. Ugh. He took a 1st round pick & three 2nd round picks and turned it into a center (Mack), an iffy WR (Massaquoi), another WR who can't play on the NFL level (Robiskie) & a LB no longer in the league (Veikune). If only Heckert had those picks.

McCoy's not done. He just doesn't have a strong enough arm. He's another Chad Pennington. He will be a nice backup to Weeden.

he did beat all the top prospects head to head, but he's not throwing to blackomon anymore.

True. He's throwing to pros now.

At the minimum, Weeden will create room for Richardson to run. That's going to be the key to the Browns upcoming season. With McCoy, you can stack nine in the box & single-cover the WRs cuz he's just not going to beat you with his arm. Weeden will change that. Safeties will have to respect his arm, and the benefactor of that will be Trent Richardson.

You mean Weeden will hopefully change that. Browns do not have a good track record with QBs, except for that one good year with Derek Anderson.

by the way, i look forward to the redskins browns game. i'm sure RGIII will remember those "too short" comments.

Which has zero bearing on this year.

Weeden will change it. It's simple physics. He's got a cannon arm. Defenses have to respect it. And unlike Anderson, he has a brain to go with it.

I guess Weeden will just have to beat him - again.

lol Not only that, but the Browns will also be looking to take RGIII out, I'm sure. Not in a Saints bounty way, but they're definitely going to go for blood.

fujita will be back from his suspension by then, but i don't think he has 4.3 speed.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
