Go see a doctor! If you feel grinding, you already have cartilage damage. Get it fixed before your knee buckles and you get wheeled into the emergency room on Summer Bank Holiday.

Knees (Tiger Woods) and hips (Tom Watson) are critical to the golf swing.

I have a sore minuscus in my left knee, and an arthritic right hip. Physical therapy and vitamin supplements have helped somewhat, but I may eventually need a "fix it" trip to doc.

Focus, connect and follow through!

I tore both the inner and outer meniscus in my right knee (I'm lefty).  If I swing with full rotation and use my right leg to brace my weight I feel discomfort as well.  I wouldn't mess with your knee as it might not be torn, but once you tear it you're looking at surgery and 6 weeks of rehab.  I'm postponing surgery until the winter, but it's made golf and running more difficult and less enjoyable so far this spring.
