Hi, this is my first post so please be patient (hopefully you wont have to be).

Anyways, I have played golf for a good year now (I am 14) and I can smack a driver 280 yards and am quite good at the putting aspect. Its why I have an 18 handicap.

But in Par 5s have trouble. I can't do fully swings with irons for the life of me. And even worse, I can't make a divot almost ever and when I do it is  small and thin.

I know I could shoot in the eighties, but if I need to be able to hit good iron shots. Can anyone give me some advice?

Thanks again, Kingzilla

dont try and kill the ball. I can swing as hard as i can and hit my 3 iron 230 or I can make good contact with a solid relaxed swing and can still get it 210. focus on clean contact.
