Improving - when you move your low point forward, do your misses tend more to be thin?

And the thin shots tend to be more playable, way more playable than a fat miss? Although they may not look pretty.

My thin shots tend to be when I early extend and end up flipping at it in an attempt to deliver the clubhead to the ball. Either way, I'd rather not hit thin or fat :P.

If your ball position is too far back then yea you would thin or even top the ball with a low point that's far more forward than you're used to. Usually though thin shots are a result of flipping the wrists and/or retracting the arms a little bit. Also coming out of your tilt or your posture would result in thin contact.

Check the location of your weight and the handle first to make sure that's okay. Since you say your low point is well forward, I'm assuming those two things are fine. If so, try moving your ball position more forward in your stance.

Thin to win, but you are likely still flipping.

I'd take a look at the tour striker training aid if I were you.  It's a good tool for hitting the ball higher on the face.  If you're hitting it thin, you probably also hit a lot of balls lower on the face than they should be.
