Do you know people that think they drive the ball further than they actually do?

The only 300 yard drives I have had were either cart path or huge decline aided.

I am a decent driver of the ball too, 105 SS ~240-260 carry.

exactly. I hit it arouns 245-255 with about 230 of carrying pretty consistantly. For me a great drive is 270.

Again, I said this earlier, but I think that the elevation has something to do with it as does humidity(?). At higher elevations I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the ball travels further due to thinner air(?). If anyone can confirm this for me I would be much obliged.

I can hit the ball 250 upwards, which is a real shame because judging on that distance at my age I should be playing better, but instead I screw everything up after the tee shot.
