I have recently started working harder on driving my right shoulder low and through the ball. This has increased my launch angle with my drives from a typical 10 degrees to around 12. Also hitting my 6 iron has gone up from 14 to 16-17. With this my swing speed as increased and carry distance is up about 20 yards on most clubs. My question is how is doing this making such an impact on my swing? I feel like i'm swinging just as hard as it ever was but I'm seeing results.

You could be optimizing the carry distance with your swing and making better contact.

I am noticing that I don't hit the ball towards the heel anymore. The ball is also climbing higher up on the club face.
