Club through the ball not Across

Noticed the slow motion swings of the pros . At contact , the club seems to hit the ball and continue going straight , about a foot , and then turns to the left . I tend to come across the ball, going to the left at impact . Any drills to delay this ? When I tried hitting more through the ball yesterday , I had the longest , straightest drives in years .

Sounds like you figured it out already...i would do whatever you were doing yesterday, remembering that the hands go down, out, and forward in the downswing.

If you are driving a nail, you wouldn't swing your hammer across the head of the nail, but down through it. Sounds so obvious, but I am still trying to get my wife, son, and daughter to do this.
