I am going on a family trip to MB in April, and am looking for some suggestions.  Will probably only get to play a couple of days while there and am looking for courses in the North Myrtle, Cherry Grove, Little River, Calabash areas.  It will be myself and my dad playing and looking for courses that are nice, but not too expensive.   It has been several years since I played at Myrtle and the last time I played Heather Glen and Possum Trot.  They were OK, but looking for something different.  Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi- some very nice courses in that area are - The farmstead , Crows creek, Any of the Cats courses Tigers Eye-Lions Paw-

Aberdeen and two ocean cources Oyster Bay and the Pearl.

You said no too expensive and all these are mid price courses. Price does depend alot on the time of year and if you play in the afternooon it is cheaper.

I have played the ones you played and all these are nicer then them, although i do like possum trot for a fun round.

Give these a try and i think you will enjoy them

My top five in the North end of MB including Brunswick County, NC  are

Rivers Edge

Tigers Eye

Leopards Chase

Oyster Bay

Glen Dornoch

Rivers Edge and Oyster Bay have some pretty marshland scenery so would be the most different in style from Heather Glen and Possum Trot. They are also the best bargains, so those 2  would be good choices.

After that my next five are

Bald Head Island

Thistle

Crow Creek

Pearl East

Pearl West

The Pearl courses have pretty low green fees.

Other lower priced choices would be

Farmstead

Meadowlands

Sandpiper Bay

Panthers Run

Sea Trail Jones

Thanks for the suggestions.  Will check out the ones mentioned and make some t times at a couple of them.

I haven't played too much north, but Thistle is always a great course.  As long as it's not cart path only.  Played there once and it was cart path only, which made it a miserable, hot round.  I would have been better off grabbing my push cart out of the trunk, but they wouldn't allow that.

+1 for Thistle.

Also love the Norman and Dye at Barefoot.

Make sure to have Dinner at Greg Normans steak house.
