Has anybody seen or hit this club? My uncle has one and its the straightest club I have ever hit. I normally can drive the ball up to 260-270 if I swing 100%. I was hitting this club about 230-240 and getting some real good roll too. The sound is def one of a kind, sounds more like the crack of a wooden bat hitting a 90 MPH fastball on the sweet spot. My guess is that it's illegal, but I am not sure. I am curious to see if anybody else has had the same experience using this club?

Wow!  That looks like something out of BrookStone LOL.

Very interesting though.

I put Adams and PING in my OGIO Recoil bag. I'm shooting for the low 90's by summer 13'

I was stationed in San Diego in the 1980's and in a strip mall by a watering hole I found the guy making these. He was selling them for $250.00 at that time . Amazingly straight club although the distance was not the greatest. It was and still is the most radical change to a golf club I have ever seen.

I had a teacher in high school that had one. His class had a door that lead out to the outfield of the baseball diamond, he let a few of us on the golf team go and hit it. I was not very impressed but those that sliced the ball  loved it. That was back in 1985 and I have not seen one since then. Good job on finding one.

Holy Cow!!! my Dad had one when i was a kid and i loved hitting it i thought i would never see one again. when he first took it to the course everybody went nuts cause it looked so strange. Eventually the face of it broke across the middle and it went in the trash.

I still have the mini Power Pod at home in my living room just collecting dust i wish i could post a pic of it, the face of it is about as wide as a golf ball and maybe 1 inch tall, absolutely no surface area and scary to hit. Cool to see some of the old gimicky stuff show up.

    • Managed 51/41 this weekend.  Justin Thomas went 78 / 62 from round 1 to round 2. He has access to the best coaches, best technology, best gear, and plays probably every day (or close to it)... if he can have a 16 shot swing from one round to the next, who are we to expect consistency when going out 2x a week is an accomplishment (at least for me with 2 kids it is!).
