I don't know why but even with the Major, Darren Clarke's career doesn't feel as impressive at Lee Westwood's.

Again, my criteria states that if you have 20+ wins without a major, you will only be considered for the HOF...so Westwood wouldn't be in automatically.  His extra credentials will have to be assessed and he's still "playing" right now and at a high level anyway.  Who knows what more he will accomplish in the upcoming years.

Let's talk about gambling. Gambling is more an inherent part of golf than any sport or game barring horse or dog racing or casino games. From the point of view of a player, there is no better gambling game. Raymond Floyd supported himself by gambling on his game back when the pickin's on tour were small potatoes. Been reading at Golf Channel dot com about Eddie Pearce and his experiences with gamblers. Complete with guns on the course. And have you heard of Al Besselinck? Who confessed to throwing scores in order to win bets? It's practically a rule: everybody gambles, from Arnold Palmer to the 20 hanicap player on the public course. And top golfers often made more on side games than they earned as prize money. I think any Golf Hall of Fame ought to include displays on the colorful gambling aspect of golf. May not be copacetic with the excessively straight-laced among us and parents might try to shield their children from the facts, but them is facts. I think Titanic Thompson ought to be a charter member of the Hall of Fame!
