So the other week I bought a 16 pack (just for some putting usage) of Intech Beta Ti Distance balls, just wondering what anyoe thinks about these when it comes to the short game?

We must harness the crystiles.

You're a 5 hncp... I think only you can answer that question. You don't need hackers like me telling you what we think.

buying balls like that and asking makes me question your true handicap.  To bad you could go ahead and put zero to make yourself feel better. your not a true 5 handicap.

anyways, on chips they don't check up. on a full swing of a short iron i can back these up. I used these as garbage practice balls when I haven't played in a long time. I don't want to lose my tour balls right away.

Just like others said, are you really a 5 handicap and asking this question?

With that said, I used to play Intech Beta Ti balls when I had a slower swing speed back in High School.  They are good balls for high handicappers, which you apparently are not.  For lower handicap players this ball does not spin enough.

    • While I have practiced a decent amount in the past 6-7 weeks, once I figured I wouldn't maintain the rules of the challenge I stopped posting 😞  Anyway, I'm back and I think I'll be able to maintain!  Let's see. Day 1, 12/30/25.  10 balls with 6-iron, another 10 with a 9-iron, and a few chips with the UW and 54.  All off a mat, into a net, indoors, with real golf balls.  The will swing focus was on controlling the length of the backswing and doing so slowly.
    • Day 4: 2025.11.30 Only time for some grip work in the garden, need to film it and see if I'm making progress.
    • Day 28 (30 Dec 25) - 30 Dec - Short pitch drills in the backyard with the Gw - used it to work on setup process and making consistent contact.
    • Day 140 12-30 Arching lead wrist to close club face . Pause at top of backswing.
    • I feel like this captures where I am at. I guess the struggle for me is finding, understanding, internalizing, "the right concept". What I mean is it pisses me off thinking about all the time and money I wasted on instructors who were teaching based on bad ball flight concepts/understanding. Seeing the data/high speed video for ball flight is what convinces me how in error they were. While I think it is kind of cool to have lived through the birth and growth of competent data driven golf instruction, it is also kind of disheartening thinking about all the golfers killed or injured by incompetent instruction - which I feel is still an ongoing and concerning process.
