this is the whole reason you have shells on the greens - people like this poster don't think it'll bother anyone and spit them on the greens  -  there's a culprit on our course who screws things up for everyone behind him/her -

They must have "better things to worry about" too......  Or maybe they all just have trouble multi-tasking!

It's littering, don't want to see it on the course, don't want to see it on the street.

Lack of etiquette and respect for the game? Unlike Tiger I bet those sunflower chewers (is that what they are called? I have no idea) take legal drops and have a healthy respect for the rules of golf. I agree with the sleepingwithfishes guy above... Your consternation is better served addressing the fat 6 iron you hit into the green or your chili dipped bump and run. Or the huge unrepaired pitch marks all over the green. There is a beauty about a round of golf in that as long as one is not disorderly or destructive one can really do whatever the hell they want... This includes pissing in the woods... Pounding beers... Sexually harassing the cart girl... Exposing the world to your horrendous golf swing and then blaming it on the cheeseburger at the turn. It's one of the few remaining sanctuaries left in this world. Indulge yourself and let others do the same. I will acknowledge its a pain.. Not necessarily a pain in the ass but a pain... To have to swipe stuff away on the greens... But that goes for more than sunflower seeds and butts... Goose poop... Spike marks... Pollen.. My playing partners dignity after he has yanked a four footer.

You should not throw or spit anything onto the green, just as you would not do it onto a bowling lane or snooker table. This is self-explanatory, there is nothing to discuss in my opinion.

    • I  had to return to boast  just a  bit. Everyone  knows  i thought  this  is  how the Championship should  be decided. Match play is far  better than stroke  play to determine a  champion and  its  much closer to most sports  playoffs. Lose and you are  out.     Promotion, relegation and match play: PGA Tour unveils radical new structure The PGA Tour has revealed its planned changes to its competitive model, schedule and playoffs, changes that will be more substantial than any in the Tour's half-century-long history. How will the PGA Tour series wrap up its season? The current PGA Tour playoff format consists of three stroke-play events, concluding with the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Starting in 2028, the Tour's playoff system will feature match play, and will rotate through various courses. Further details will be revealed at this year's Tour Championship next month.
    • Posted a couple swings here. I think my attempt to blend the movement still results in a more “around” back swing?
    • I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..
    • Why do so many people dislike PXG clubs and constantly criticize them? All the folks at my club and especially online, I never hear good things about them except from people who bought them and defend them. They look fine to me but curious is there some sort of quality issue or is it just stereotyping the buyers.
    • I have the LM1 launch monitor and I’ve been very impressed. I agree with your assessment and it’s very accurate for me and ease of use is wonderful. The price point of $199 is very hard to beat with this form factor and performance. I was previously using a PRGR.
