Who did the Pens play who were any good until that point?

Now, the Pens also hit unlimited goal posts, and not once in the series could you say "the Pens got a lucky break there," but go ahead - overlook the Bruins all you want. It'll depend on which team shows up - the one that barely beat the Leafs or the one that beat the prohibitive favorite.

Your Pens fanboyism is popping up again, my friend.  Let us not forget that the Pens struggled against the lowly Islanders.  When even the commentators state that the Pens dont play defense, its pretty bad because typically all they do is worst the Penguins because of Crosby.

Better luck next year, maybe you will have a new coach if Mario has his way.

Every team in the East, repeatedly, during the regular season. Two playoff teams before that, both of which had pretty stout goalies, historically. Facts, man, what a bummer!

Oh brother. No, I base what I say on facts, and observation. I'm not posting videos produced by Mizuno about how the sound of Sidney Crosby's hockey stick is definitive proof that they're the most awesome hockey team in the world. You do that kind of stuff. :)

And seriously, "fanboy"? What are you, 12? I'm a fan, yes, and if you spend any time with a true fan of any Pittsburgh sports team, they'll tell you more negative shit about their teams than fans of their rival teams.

They won in six games, and shut the Islanders out in two of them. They got cocky after the first game, sucked for a few, finally pulled Fleury (rightfully so), and then were fine. They pretty much destroyed Ottawa.

And again no playoff team is "lowly."

Which announcers? I've watched the Pens all season. They're 12th in Goals Against. "They don't play defense" is a baseless claim not grounded in facts.

Anyway, the Pens are golfing now, and there's absolutely nothing to be gained from discussing the Pens season at this point, so… good luck to Chicago and Boston.

Both Boston and Chicago seem to have great team chemistry, roll 4 solid lines and create the lucky bounces for themselves. I do believe Boston's team defense is better than Chicago's and Boston's a little deeper personnel-wise.If you look at both the Pittsburgh series and the Rangers series, it was the fourth line for Boston that seemed to make a difference every game, however now with Greg Campbell out that might change.Thing about Boston I like is they get so many goals from the point and Rask is pretty damn good.

I agree, it should be a good series for those who watch. I think the teams match up pretty well.

I think Bobby Hull and Bobby Orr should be honorary Captains.  Even though I grew up a Bruins fan, I loved to watch Hull play.  And Orr was just breathtaking.

Wow, two games with 10 periods of hockey!  These are two very evenly matched teams.  They play like they know each other's every move.

Great Series and I wish it went to seven games (so does the NHL).  Check out the ad the Blackhawks put in the Boston Globe.  Very Cool.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
