After coming across this group I've been jonesing to get out and play some DG.  Yesterday, a friend and I finally got out to a new-to-us, 9-hole (two tee-pads per hole) course.  Since neither had played in quite a while we both took it pretty easy, throwing for accuracy instead of distance (much like I'm working on in ball-golf).  With the exception of a few errant throws, we actually played pretty well (for us) and didn't lose any discs which is always a plus.

What's in my [disc golf] bag:  Lots of miscellaneous discs but the ones I throw most regularly are...

Champion Sidewinder -- very stable distance driver

Pro Leopard -- very stable mid-range disc

DX Roc -- approach shots

DX Aviar -- putter

Nice.

There are a lot of parallels between golf and disc golf. Distance is an advantage in both. In both, the best players often look like they're putting no effort in while the worst look like they're straining like crazy. Both are not reactionary - you decide when you start. Etc.

What do you like to throw into the wind?

Currently in my bag  (yeah, more than I need, but you know…):

I think I probably carry 24 discs but I have 3 of each because I expect to lose them. :)

Into the wind, I use a Beast.  For no particular reason I always just bought Innova discs, made things simpler I guess.

Fair enough. I keep my backups at home, I guess.

http://erik.betterdg.com/bag.php shows what I tend to carry, and you can chop off "bag.php" to see what I've got available.

Yep. Came up with google image search of "krupa disc golf." Kinda figured there wouldn't be any of supermodel Joanna Krupa playing disc golf, but I had my fingers crossed… :D
