Played bass/guitar in middle school/early high school and never had the time to practice to get really good.

I'm looking into picking up an acoustic and teaching myself to play in my spare time back now that I'm back at college. That's why I found this thread.

I've got 25 years on the guitar. A fusion-style, although my gear doesn't fit the stereotype of the genre.
I play a G&L; ASAT Classic semi-hollow-body thru a Fender Blues Deluxe amp. My other guitars are a Fender American Lone Star, a Music Man Sub1, a Peavey Odyssey and a Charvel San Dimas (from the old metal days).
Tons a effects, the best is my Maxon Overdrive...

I play the piano and own a Mason grand. Nothing like a piano to spruce up the look of a living room. One of the nice things about living in NYC is one can take master classes at Juilliard and I have been lucky enough to play at places like Steinway Hall and meet other musicians. Take it from me, there are *alot* of incredibly talented (and super bright) amateur musicians in NY.

Playing takes the sting out of winter and my mind off golf. One day, I'll post the similarities that playing golf and the piano share on my blog.

i play guitar and bass - got a nice collection including a Hofner bass and a Rickenbacker 4003 bass in midnight blue. Unreal sounding basses!
