looking for some advice here. not exactly sure whats happening but i seem to have developed a sway in the putter head during the stroke. if i line up a series of tees opposite to each other in a line and stroke the putter through them, i crashed into them constantly. it must be something in my set up, any ideas?

Could be a number of things.

I was having this issue, and i actually switched putters. I found that i couldn't line up my blade putter well, i would be standing over the ball, adjusting, no way to putt like that. So i switched to a mallet putter, i love it. But what i also like to do is put weight in the handle. This helps me stabilize the hand movement in the putting stroke. Problem when you have a putter, the head weight is massive compared to the butt end of the club. Lets say, head weight usually around 340 grams. Grip end your looking at 70 grams. That is a huge weight dispersion. So what i did was stick about 30 grams of lead tape under my grip. This really helped me a lot.
