So I was actually near *ish* to a Golf Galaxy this weekend and dropped in to do a ball fitting. I should have brought in my own 6i but didn't know if anyone would be available to do the fitting. Anyway, I wanted fit for iron spin to start holding the greens better on approach from longer distance. They gave me a mizuno 6i of some pro model, guy said it's basically my 7i from my burner plus set loft/length wise. End of the fitting after trying 4 different balls including nxt tour s, chrome, z star, and bridgestone 330 rxs, it was shown that the chrome was by far the best option as it was the most consistent distance/spin/accuracy wise. With a club head speed of 80ish and a launch angle of around 17* at least. Here's the caveat though, I can't find those anywhere where I live short of the golf course and I don't want the pay the premium for buying balls there rofl. Figures.

I know I can do those things, but I am not usually one to stock up on balls or order them online. Unfortunately it seems as though I may actually need to do those things if I am going to play the best ball for me. I was pleasantly surprised that it was the ball for me since I had been leaning towards buying them after someone posted something awhile ago about how chrome and chrome+ were the some of the lowest spin off driver but highest spin around the green.

I have played a few rounds with the Chrome+, not a bad ball at all. I have a friend that reps callaway and I can get them for $25 a dozen so why not. The only thing is he has to order 6 dozen at a time.

ouch, 150 at a time for golf balls. I have been playing duos which are only 20 so it's going to be interesting trying to get myself to pay more for a ball.
