UPS knows something about moving golf clubs. The majority of golf clubs or components I have bought online, or test clubs I have rented, were delivered by UPS. UPS has some clever packaging they have developed working with golf OEMs and components people.

The Hopkins model only has three steps in the supply chain: Components mfgr --> {Assembly + UPS Distribution} --> Golfer.

Two possibilities: Hopkins is less than perfect (like most human ventures) OR Hopkins has recurring glitches in its process. At this time, I'm reserving judgment.

Well, I am sharing my bad experience. May be I am the exception, but I think this UPS operated manufacturing business model is very immature and once their business volume increases it will face many issues.

Along with Hopkins, go ahead and cross Callaway off your list of companies to buy from. They sent my clubs to me via UPS... Do you want these golf companies to purchase dozens of airplanes and thousands of vehicles to deliver their products instead of outsourcing it? I don't get it...

No, you got me wrong. I am not talking about the UPS delivery. I purchase a ton of stuff on the web and UPS delivery is alwasy good. What am I refering to is that in my call with Hopkins CS, I got the impression that their assembly shop is actually located inside UPS! The CS was telling me that they couldn't locate the wedge head inside UPS!

This would make sense, as they have a three-step supply chain vs. normal OEM five-step. Locating the assembly shop with distribution center would increase efficiency, cut down on needless point-to-point components and material shipment.

The UPS site could handle inbound components, the assembly cell could custom-build the wedges, and then send finished goods back out the door in UPS long boxes.

Read up on supply chain operations before you get so down on the "business model." It has merit.

Your problem is noted. Hopkins needs to get it straightened out.

But as @ newtogolf says, your case seems to be an unusual occurrence.

      I haven't run the ShotScope yet, but I played 18 today.  I hit a great drive on 6 and then, holes 7-17 (excluding par-3s) I hit some very uninspired drives.  Then, after hitting on 17, I realized I'm over-swinging.  So at 18, I took a practice swing with the drill I've been doing during practice shots at home the past few weeks.  Then I decided, one more practice swing, but you know, with the ball right there. So I did.  I didn't even hit it at full speed.  It resulted in a nice high draw and settled onto the fairway.  To put it simply:  if the rules allowed me to place the ball anywhere in my reasonable shot zone as that tee shot, the spot I would have chosen is where it ended up.  I went on to hit two more good shots (it's a par-5) and left myself with a 7' birdie putt.  While I missed it, that drive is going to stay in my head for a very long time.
