I have a mostly predictable ball flight it starts with a low boring launch rises some with about a 10 yard draw and then checks up on the green. A few people I played with the other day commented on it. Not so mucht negatively but it seemed mixed. It's not so low like a thinned shot, its solid impact it just doesn't ballon, it more like strong and low, rises a bit into a draw and then drops out of air. Should I work on getting it higher or stay with whaT I got. 9-10 hc depending on the week more than 50% gir from 150 and in. To give idea of my game. Distance is 158 yrd avg 8 iron

It seems as if you are a higher speed player with 158 8i, so your low ball flight can be a setup issue.

Experiment to see if you like something better.

Set the ball a bit more forward in your stance and see what happens.

You may be delofting more than what is needed at impact - try video, or opening the face slightly after you move the ball forward.

This does not entail a swing change, so no harm, no foul.

From watching PGA Players over the years at tournaments or private outings, they get the ball up in the air - we're talking high. I have no idea what that means in terms of yards, but it's higher than I see guys hitting driver on the range.

Basically, if your ball starts out low, you'd like it climb, flatten out, and descend on a particular angle - the angle of ascent and descent depends on your club. If it's rolling out too much for you or not doing what you want -- try something else.

I'd get yourself on a TrackMan or other radar and see whether your numbers are good. A lot of people lose distance from ballooning the ball and a typical tour trajectory is low and penetrating so it *may* be perfectly fine but it just looks lower compared to most weekend players.
