My only issue with fine tuned PED's are that we do not know enough about the human body to make everything better at the same time.

Golf is a sport that takes a sprinter build, gymnastic flexibility and coordination, professional billiards player keen eye and the mental strength of a chess player to be the best.

In the future, it is more likely that genetically modified humans would outperform ones on "perfectly tuned" PED's. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2453248/

Though I don't think either will happen.

All I am saying is that I don't buy the notion that PED's are working AGAINST any of those things you listed.  They help what they help and that doesn't mean that they have to hurt anything.  Taking a PED that helps with longer workouts, faster recovery, muscle gain, etc isn't going to preclude you from chipping well or making a full backswing.

Possibly, but I do know that other PED's like caffeine gives some people the jitters and helps others.

No human dispenser of drugs will be able to tune them to maximize all the states we need for golf.

I'm not sure anyone is talking about doing that.  I'm just saying they can make you better at golf or any other sport and they don't have to come with effects detrimental to performance.

Sure, I agree with this, and perhaps any particular aspect of golf (like driving distance). Still not that confident that if you enhance driving distance through drugs, that it will not affect putting, chipping or, more importantly, impair your thinking.

I really think that to be the best in golf takes much more than physical strengths.
