Hello! Recently, the course that I always play in has become quite windy (30kmh +) and whenever I tee it up i'm stuck with the dilemma of playing driver or switching to a shorter club in order to play a control shot with roll out. Whenever I play the driver I hit it on a high launch angle but I am also concerned that a head wind would have me lose too much distance. I just cant seem to play those driver stinger shots because i've become accustomed to an upward driver strike and when I try to punch it, everything goes wrong. This is less of a problem I guess with the 3 wood because I can punch it with my relatively level strike with it, but am afraid of losing too much distance. Which would go further that is, a normal driver shot, or stinger 3 wood against the a strong head wind?

Launching the driver "high" in wind can be ok as long as the spin rate is appropriate for you swing speed and launch characteristics.

To decrease spin (if you need to) check this out

    • I have fought shoulder issues and seem to now have a pull/baby fade going on.  Not a great video, but are these numbers ok or should i try to get in to out.  I've realized this winter my concept of in to out was wrong in that what felt in to out was actually just the face being open to get it right.  The first one was rushed the second one is more typical.  Minor pull or if the numbers line up baby fade back to target.

    • I suppose Rory will indulge in a bit of guilty pleasure giving Bryson some of his own medicine. Saw a piece of Rory's interview on some documentary about last year's Masters where BDC was still trying to game/mess with him long after he had stopped being a factor. At least that was Rory's perspective. Dude's a huntn dog and a storyteller. I'm going to enjoy this one knowing the end even more so than last year. And yeah, I know it's only half way through but Im early celebrating this one.
