Okay first off, I did read the reviews on this forum, but i'd like to hear more. I'm roughly deciding between 3 wedges, but would defintly be open to other options. So here is what I would like in my wedge: something I can choke down and hit full high shots, and more importantly something I can chip up onto the green with spin and make it back up, or at least stop (I know my skill/ball will also play into it). I'm considering between: 1) CG10 (basically becasue it went on sale [90$] 2) Vokey Spin Milled, this one I read the best reviews on, for what I think I might be looking for. 3) CG12- Decent reviews, suppose to out do the CG10, although 30 dollars more (I think Vokey is around 110?) Let me know what you all think

You should try the vokey spin milled, or the callaway x tour (great feel and quite forgiving). Taylormade RAC TP have great spin too

You've read the reviews, so this is a no-brainer question. The answer is Vokey SM.

if you must get a 60* then get the cg10. they are great overall and they are on sale. besides you need to change wedges every year if you play alot. the grooves do wear out.

side note I hate the 60*, I've got 6 and hate them all

I agree, the 60 degree is ridiculous. Not long ago wedges higher than 56 or something were not allowed. The game was not intended to play with such high lofts. Then again it probably was not intended to have drivers the size of hedge trimmers either.

I like Vokey and Cleveland. Look online, I got my 58 degree Vokey for 89.99 free shipping brand new last year. Believe it or not I think Nike makes a decent wedge too and they are much cheaper.

There were no rules prohibiting 60 degree wedges. They weren't disallowed - manufacturers just didn't think people would buy 'em and thus didn't make 'em.

Well, I'm recommending a club no one has mentioned. I hit one of these last weekend and I was jazzed how well this wedge worked. I saw it on an infomercial on the Golf channel and was skeptical.
After the guy let me hit it, I'm going to get a set myself.
I guess they are good enough that T itteist and Nike are trying to copy it . But not to get to close to the patent.

Solus wedges....

oh yeah, the solus wedge gets great spin supposedly...I really like my Cleveland Reg 588 60°

Demo them all and pick the one that gives you the best results. It varies from person to person. I have four wedges, and three different brands because of that.

Yeah, they're down to $69.99 around here. But note that the bounce runs extremely high on those. Their "standard" (2 dot) 60 degree has 12 degrees of bounce. Their 1 dot, or low bounce has 8 degrees. Something you should know before purchasing. I had a 60 2 dot and didn't like it. Too much bounce for a LW. Before Cleveland went to this low/high/dot bounce configs their 588 Reg 60 had only 3 degrees of bounce.
