I was just wondering, how much distance does each golf ball add to you distance in terms of yards, say for example a pro v1 compared to a nike ball or a dunlop titanium etc?

If the golf balls really added to your distance as they claim they do, we'd all be driving par-5s with regularity.

Play a ball with good feel around the green. To make that more specific, get a used one or two and chip and putt with them around a practice green. When you have one that feels good, use those. Whatever extra distance you'd gain from a rock isn't worth the problems encountered when you aren't confident and feeling good on chipping and putting.

It depends on your swing speed. I hit about 85 mph, and had been playing pro v1s for a while, then I switched to the DT SoLo (lower compression) and added 10-15 yards. Its still got a soft feel around the greens and feels decent at putting, pro v1 is my favorite ball for pulling though, can't beat the urethane cover for feel.
