Monday's final round at the Deutsche was quite a shootout. Sick shotmaking from the both of them. The par-3 16th in particular, stands out in my mind when Tiger nails his tee shot to within 8' then Phil answers with his own to within 6'. Phil's short game was spectacular. I can't remember the hole, but the guy nearly holed out his pitch shot only to have it hit the flagstick.

I believe the turning point was @ the 12th after Phil had put his approach in the hazard and double bogeyed....Tiger could have made it a 3 shot swing with a birdie. He appeared to be too conservative with his putting all day. I really thought Tiger's birdie putt on the 14th would have elevated his game...but his putting was mediocre at best. Too many missed birdies, that could have easily closed the gap down the stretch. It seemed almost uncharacteristic of Tiger.

Did anyone catch the highlight 'bloopers' of Sunday's round on NBC? It showed Tiger chilli-dipping a chip....and Mickelson blading a chip over the green. I was astounded to say the least....it made them seem human after all. Unreal.

    • Going to a Friendsgiving tomorrow and I am bringing a no-bake cheesecake. I make the crust too big, but I think it turned out good. The filling is really good.
    • Sure, but how was your alignment? 🙂 Day 53 - 2024-11-22 Mirror work after getting back home. Wife is a superstar for her career/job/whatever.
    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
    • @DeadMan, I think your approach makes sense. As @dennyjones said, consistency is the key.
