Hello to all fellow St Louis golfers!!

I didn't know about groups until today and didn't see any discussions so I thought I would start one up.

Where does everyone play?  Home courses?  Favorite courses?

Hello Brian W, welcome to the STL Group.

WUTiger created the STL Group last month in an effort to reach out to local members for a golf outing.

Hopefully, this will lead to organizing future gatherings and the potential of meeting local TST members.

Some of my favorite courses around Missouri & Illinois.

Winghaven, Fox Run, Pevely Farms, Forest Park, Normandie, Quail Creek, St Albans, The Bluffs, Meadow Brook

Annbriar, Rend Lake, Far Oaks, Lake of the Ozark courses and many others.

I play at Winghaven mainly.

Catch up with you at an outing hopefully this summer.

Those are some nice courses!!  I tend to spend less to play as I am still getting back into the game.

I played a tournament at Winghaven a few weeks ago.  It was for KUTO or Kids Under Twenty One.  I also have a very good friend who used to be a manager of the restaurant/bar some years back.  It is a very nice course

I currently play Deer Creek, Bridges in Columbia, Quail Creek, and Ruth Park (if I need to sneak one in the morning before work).  I also have played a few others that I cannot remember at this point.  I played Far Oaks last year and that is a fantastic course but again out of my price range.

I will treat myself to a nice course every once in a while but until I get my game to where I want it, I cannot spend that much on weekend golf.  I also have a 1 year old that seems to suck our pocketbooks haha.

I am down for an outing or just a few of us getting together in the coming weeks

I used to play Ruth Park a lot during high school summers. In my scorecard collection, I have Ruth Park cards from three different eras.

If any of you play Ruth Park, look on the wall in the snack bar area.  There's a framed pen-and-ink drawing of the original 1931 course layout as designed by Robert Foulis. The Foulis brothers, apprentices of Old Tom Morris at St. Andrew's, build dozens of courses in the St. Louis area and the Midwest.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Ya, Ruth Park is short and sweet.  I like the course but really there are better places to play in STL.  I will check out the layout next time I am there
