Seeing as it seems to be the in thing at the moment, i was planning on setting up a space in my house this evening to practice some putting and to film my stroke.

I know there are threads about camera position for filming the full swing and i think most people with swing threads are well versed in correctly positions the camera to make analysis and progress tracking most effective.

My question though is what is the optimal camera placement for filming and analysing the putting stroke? Is it the same as the full swing or a bit different? My initial thoughts were that the camera should be lower to the ground and along the target line rather than the feet line as to better see the path of the putter head but i would like to know what the experts think.

When I send videos in with putting, I have the face-on perpendicular to my ball position and the down the line parallel to my eye position.  Examples below.

Same as normal swing. About waist high, facing you (at the center of your stance), and down the line (your toe line).
