JK Has clean shoes. JK Got his teeth fixed. JK Regularly attends a hairdresser.JK Doesn't buy symbols of the racist south. Doesn't make "cool" videos to attract publicity. God married in private without selling the photos to a rag. Married an architect, not some attention seeking tramp who gets photographed swinging a golf club in high heels and a bikini. Total loser.

Tringale should not even be on the tour, let alone be at the top of the leaderboard. He should be serving a ban for knowingly lying to his playing partner, marking an incorrect score knowingly and signing it in as legit knowingly.

Far from being a sign of 'good karma' for Tringale, it's worthy of actually holding an investigation into him and finding out why he came forward before someone else shouted about it.

also FYI: the broomstick will still be legal, he just won't be able to anchor it against his chest.

so even if the history books DID for whatever reason (they won't) put that in there. it'd say this.

Wrong.

It's the implementation, not the implement.

The iron grooves example is a good one. The Schenectady putter was ruled illegal too. Players used to be able to putt with the flagstick in (and strike it without penalty). Arnie won a Masters or two or three with that rule in place.

Everyone kind of sucking today. Morgan Hoffmann rocketed up the leaderboard with a 66. Stuart Appleby & Gonzalo FC 68's. Jim Furyk has done the most Jim Furyk thing ever by parring his first 12 holes.

      I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.

      So the question was posed today by some of my friends.  Is a pitch mark the same as a divot?  I thought NO, but they argued if your ball lands in another player's divot (made by club during a swing) this was the same as a pitch mark, i.e. the ball mark made when the ball lands

      Original definition use to or still is how far offline you hit it. It might be better to think of it as consistency in retaining favorable launch conditions to optimize distance.   That heat map showed a gigantic 0-3% loss in ball speed. That is absurd. The true 100% sweet spot is tiny for all clubs. Good luck telling the difference if the sweet spot is under 3% in a sizable area. Especially considering variation in launch angle, spin, and outdoor weather.
