Most often when I think the irons have lost their magic, what I really need is a new set of grips.

Yep, amazing what a new set of grips will do for you. I played the first 9 years of my golf with the stock Tour Velvets that came with my set, never really thought about regripping or even that people did that lol. I didn't play a whole lot during that time but still, 9 years! :bugout:

The first time I regripped I was blown away by the difference in feel and confidence. Now I regrip religiously every year even if the grips "look" ok. It's like getting new clubs.

I think the biggest difference in woods, drivers is the adjustability factor today.      That alone is the reason I'm upgrading my driver currently ...
