Does anyone have the Yes! Abbie? If so, what is your take on them? Do you like them (Feel and aesthetic looks). Does the silver finish promote too much glare at address?

She's in my bag right now. I'm pretty impressed with the Yes! putters and I've been using many different Scotty's and Ping's over the years.

The silver finish on the Abbie is only on the sole and face so glare isn't an issue at address. Please let me know if you have any other questions

Since you aren't getting many replies, I'll chime in even though I'm playing a Yes! Natalie. Right now, I'm loving it. I've played it for 57 consecutive rounds and am putting better with it than my Ping PAL, Ping ANSER, MasterGrip 415CR & Odyssey DF-990. Of course, I'm not sure whether the alignment aid built into the Natalie is the answer, or the C-grooves, or possibly it's a random fluctuation since it's impossible to have all variables completely balance out, even over 50 rounds. I guess the alignment aid built into the Natalie can't be the whole answer since the MasterGrip also has a "similar" alignment aid.

In any event, I used each of the putters for 50 consecutive rounds each and the results are here:

Odyssey DF-990 -- 01/2005 - 06/2005 --- 32.54 putts per round
Ping PAL -- -- -- --- 06/2005 - 02/2006 -- 32.28 putts per round
Ping ANSER --- -- - 02/2006 - 08/2006 -- 33.08 putts per round
MasterGrip 415CR - 08/2006 - 03/2007 -- 32.66 putts per round
Yes! Natalie -- -- -- 03/2007 - 08/2007 --- 31.74 putts per round

I had actually been planning on moving on to yet another putter after 50 rounds with the Natalie, but my putting was so much better with it, I decided to stay with Natalie for awhile. I've played 7 additional rounds (after the 50) and am averaging 32.14 putts for these 7 rounds--higher than the 31.74 for 50 rounds, but still lower than with any of the other putters I've used starting in 2005. Of course, a lot can happen in the next 43 rounds!

Cool, I'm thinking of getting this one on eBay. Does it look good to you?

i don't have the abbie... but c-grooves are where it's at.. love the feel (when hit correctly obviously)

Yes! putters certainly have a great feel when struck solidly. However, when not, things get ugly. I would like to see the c-grooves be a little wider, as it seemed like my lag putting when I used one was horrendus. I had the Sophia, fwiw.

I just got the Yes! Abbie putter with a 34 inch shaft last week. I have to tell y'all that the feel (when the ball is struck square on the grooves) is great. When you have the occasional putting hiccup and hit it off of the toe, the putter's grooves aren't going to help you a whole lot. All in all, I love it.

Wow, can you say topic necromancy? I mean this thread has been down for almost a year and I have had my Daytona for a while now. You should never, ever, resurrect a topic unless you have good reason to.

Why not, I think it's better than starting duplicate threads.

Does anyone have any experience with a Yes Callie? Also, any knowledge on how a forged one feels different from a regular stainless steel one?

I have an Abbie that I reshafted with a heavier shaft. I think it's going to replace my Scotty. As far as the sound and feel go for the forged: The sound is amazing. There is a ton of feedback on this thing.

    • Tiger's putter is < 500g total weight. Good putters tend to favor lighter putters. That said, I'm a great putter, and mine is over 600g. 😄
    • With 2 young kids and limited time to play, if I have golf on the schedule and there’s no lightning, I’ll be playing. I wish I could be a little more picky but time constraints tend to force my hand.
    • As a guilty consumer of social media instruction, I really enjoyed the topic on episode 7. I know it has always hurt my game more than helped and I think it all boils down to the potential for misinterpretation.  I know I’ve been to see @iacas thinking I was doing something beneficial and it actually had the adverse  effect. I still enjoy scrolling through some of the instruction posts but have found it better to take notes and ask the professional before trying to implement anything.
    • My dad had an original Ping Anser that I got refinished. Ping only charged $20 so I figured why not. It’s hard to believe the weight difference between my current gamer (counterbalanced Edel with 25g weight) and the Anser. I’m going to throw a new grip on the Anser and try it out.  I know this is a huge difference and just from a few practice swings the lighter putter doesn’t feel near as stable. I highly doubt it will outperform the Edel but wanted to know what’s everyone’s experience with a lighter vs heavier putter?
    • Right - better can mean different things depending on the situation. It might mean scoring better or it might mean closer to a functional swing (which in the moment might be scoring worse).
