I think I was the subject of revenge from posting my gruesome tale the other day. Friday night my wife and I were walking in the park at about 7PM and heard the familiar honk of a goose formation above. They flew overhead and did a bombing raid of :poo::poo: that hit me like a ton of bricks. Man, can those things poop! Covered my shirt, hat, pants, even went down my shirt and on my back. Thought that was pretty ironic timing.

I have been chased by those things as well, their bites can smart.

The course I play at mostly has had problems with geese in the past, but they have been using Bird Shield, a spray on repellent to keep the geese off the course.  It has worked wonders, I haven't had to clean off my ball because it rolled through some gooses droppings for more than two years.

It's funny that I think of this thread every time the geese congregate around the tee box, or other parts of the course. :-D

The only thing I really worry about is getting goose poop on my clubs, they just look so harmless and make that honking sound every now and then. . .

My sand wedge is for self-defense. It has a steel shaft and an E1 swing weight.

I was playing 2 years ago and I was looking for my ball down by the water. I had to walk around a tree and when I did I noticed a female goose sitting on a nest. I didn't even know it was there and then I look in the water and there is the male goose swimming straight at me with the kinked up neck and next thing I know it starts flying right at my. Buzzes my head and makes a turn like it is coming back at me. I had to take off running. My buddy is in the fairway laughing his ass off as I am retreating from getting dive bombed from a damn goose. LOL. I'm against animal cruelty, but that goose better be happy I didn't have a club in my hand or it was going down.
