Haven't seen it person nor have I tried it. But from the pictures MP-57 has larger face and more cavity than MP-60. I believe you guys already know what those mean.

Thanks been doing some research. There are saying these are between MX25 and MP67, similiar like he said MP60. I like to try the MP57 in 7-PW.

Saw them yesterday, they will be the next set of irons to make their way into my bag, easily, nothing comes close. It's a very similar look to the MP60, little more offset, bigger cavity, overall size difference is minor at best.

It is the perfect iron for my game, less GI than the MX25, more forgiving than the MP60. They're just... Well, perfect (other than the fact that they were right-handed at the store)

check the dimension, 8-PW Mp57 and MP60 have the same offset,
7 is real close. The difference is 3-6 in the offset. I don't know about the cavity how they set up. I guess the same what the difference is in 7-PW.

    • Just listened to episode 19 on grip strength. Very interesting stuff. I missed what the long drive competitors grip strength is, but presumably very high.  I suspect that part of the correlation between grip strength and speed is that general body strength is likely correlated well with club head speed and it's difficult to do a full body workout without going to town on your grip. Deadlifts are frequently recommended as a good exercise to do for golf and for a lot of people grip strength is the limiting factor on what they can deadlift. Doing deadlifts will improve your grip strength, so quite plausibly grip strength and club head speed are both caused by making yourself stronger.  Do you have any charts about how grip pressure changes through the swing? I'd be interested to see that.  Lastly, last week I played a tournament round and as I played was thinking about my grip strength and I noticed I was gripping it pretty hard. Then I realized after the round (I did not play very well at all) that I had been very tense throughout my body and I'm now wondering if that tension is the cause of my poor play. I have five tournament rounds and three casual rounds in the last three months. tournament rounds are 84, 81, 80, 81, and 81. Casual rounds are 71, 70, and 72. I wonder if that's caused by tension making it past my wrists. That's a long way of saying the last little bit Erik added rang true with me.  Great episode!
    • Let's go Rors   Justin Thomas' stupid little button-down sweater with the bottom button undone is stupid
    • Eric, Man, I'm sorry. This video is just too damned boring. I don't know what's going on like half the time. I've tried to watch it a couple of times but I get like 5 to 10 minute in and realize I'm thinking about what I'm going to make for dinner or if I should do laundry on Saturday or if I should do it on Sunday. Then I try to restart it and pay attention and my mind wanders again.  I just can't get through it. Sorry, man.
    • I think I remember reading that Wilco Nienaber broke some record for having the fastest hands at around 27mph. His clubhead speed is probably of the order of 130mph or so, so that's roughly 5 times as fast. As Erik said, the math gets very complicated - it's at least a double pendulum system, but also with the "fixed" point moving and all the forces and torques applying to the club and the hands and the rest of the player start to get very complicated. My coach works with a biomechanist and between them they've put out a few books on the physics of the swing and it's hella complicated, but fascinating.
